Going once, twice........SOLD!

Last Thursday ( April 6) we checked out another auction  held around the corner at our local recreation centre. I was hoping to find a leather love seat or a pair of chairs for the office, but there wasn't any thing this time around that caught my eye.

HOWEVER, there was this more unique hand painted oriental piece that I had simply HAD to have and decided that I'd bid up to $100.00 for it.  Apparently some one else had their eye on it too. A brief bidding war ensued and I came out on top, for just under my limit, at $95.00

I'm not sure what to "hide" in the drawer and cabinet as of yet, but some liquid libations might be just the thing.  Darn good thing I didn't bid on every thing I liked or wanted.....mmm, just "needed". hehe

Kind of like this 46" x 38" framed, double matted, Lion  print.  My limit was $125.00 and fortunately that came in as the final bid. The guest bedroom is now proudly displaying the newly acquired piece.

The other half mentioned that attending auctions could become addictive. Too bad the clearing house doesn't carry Canon f2.8  70 - 200 mm zoom lenses.  *S*
