Three Witches of Eastwick

Friday I rode the beast over to my Mom's place to visit with a widowed aunt whom I haven't seen in a number of years.  Jewel had been living in Victoria BC for the past 15 years and recently moved back to Ontario ( albeit the far north - Sudbury) to live closer to her daughter, due to health related issues. She's a diabetic and lost a leg to the disease, is a cancer survivor and keeps on ticking after a heart attack. She's still one feisty ole gal.

Her daughter ( my cousin "Piggy" well actually Margaret)  didn't want her to make the trip in her some what frail condition.  She was worried about Jewel getting hurt.  No need to fret, my dear Auntie Jewel was in very good hands and would NEEEVER get into any trouble.... besides, what Piggy doesn't know wont make her worry.....right. <evil grin> *S*

Unannounced to me,   my Mom's other younger sister Grace was coming over later in the evening and the three "witches" were brewing up plans on how they could party together even after death.  Turns out that they were discussing their final resting place arrangements with a funeral consultant and dividing up a single burial plot. Seems that the last of the  four by nine feet family plots purchased by Jewel's in-laws  in 1958 leaves plenty of room for each of their cremated remains. The poor guy had no idea what he was in for with the ah hem, elderly  ladies whose combined ages total 250.  That's 250 years of really baaad  jokes about "stiffs".  It's a wonder they didn't kill the kid with laughter.

I thought I'd throw my weight around and hold em down while the youngster made his escape - it almost worked.  Hey Mom, just because I recently celebrated a milestone birthday doesn't make my behind fair game. Never  under estimate the "elderly". Suuure they're really short, appear kinda pale and weak, maybe even innocent... but OOWWWWWWWWwwwwwwwww

Oh well, a heaping helping of Chinese food, lemon pound cake and a hot cup of tea,  eventually helped me forget about my shattered ... "ego". *S*
